Guns, bombs and nuclear bombs all have one thing in common: they can end life. But their capacities for destruction are surely not the same. Amazingly, the most destructive weapon on earth today is an intercontinental ballistic missile developed by the Russians called Satan bomb (or Satan 2).
This is why I want to show you why false teachers are more dangerous than false prophets and false apostles & why false teachers are at the top of the totem pole of falsehood.The job of teachers in the administration of God within the body of Christ is to nurture, train, and mature God’s people through life and doctrine. A teacher’s teachings must be at the same level as their living for them to be effective. Teachers are saddled with the responsibility of managing and dispensing the doctrine of God. They are the ‘chefs’ of the household of God, whose primary role is to discern the dietary needs of the believers and feed them accordingly.
They feed baby Christians with milk (1 Peter 2:2); and mature believers with strong meat (Hebrews 5:14).
The teaching ministry sometimes goes hand in hand with the pastoring ministry because, though one can be a teacher without pastoring but one cannot pastor without teaching. It is God who gives pastors after His heart who feed His people with knowledge and understanding (Jeremiah 3:15). Unfortunately, one of the signs of the end of the age is that people will develop itchy ears and impatience for sound doctrine. They will literally patronize wicked teachers who will tell them what they want to hear instead of the counsel of God which can both save their souls and mature them in the things of God. (2 Timothy 4:3-4)
